9) PROFESSIONAL MIXING CONSOLE ELECTRA

  • What is the insert connection? The tip corresponds with the input signal towards the console(return) andthe ring with the ourput towards the effect processor(send). The insert islike a input line, canceling the previous. As it is usually said, tip=return, ring=send and sleeve=ground.
  • What is the use of the led that incorporates the PFL vumeter? This led is going to tell us the peak level of some signals where thevumeter switch can not reply with enough speed; in that case the peaks cannot be detected.Nevertheless, the led can do it and is a efficient helpbecause otherwise some processed signalsthrough the console could be givingsaturation and that could not be seen any other way.
  • Is there any headroom before the saturation, an input channel since the ledpeak is lighten up? Yes: 10 db before saturation (the average detection is before equalizationand after the fader)
  • The auxiliar sendings are by defect configurated in PRE or POST in groups of 4. Can we modify this configuration for, for instance, put 6 auxiliaries inPRE and only 2 in POST-fade, or viceversa, or in any other desiredconfiguration? Yes, internally. To do this operation please contact ALTAIR
